My name is Dr. Gary McIntosh II, and for over two decades, I have had the privilege of leading the men’s soccer program at Northwest University. My journey in this beautiful game has been fueled by a passion for cultivating young talent and shaping champions both on and off the field.
Coaching Philosophy
Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself not only to developing athletes' skills but also to cultivating their character. I believe that the lessons learned in sports go far beyond the pitch, instilling values such as teamwork, resilience, and discipline that are essential for success in life. My approach has always been holistic—focusing on the individual growth of each player while striving for collective success as a team.
International Coaching Experience
I have been fortunate to coach internationally, which has broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the game. This experience has allowed me to incorporate diverse coaching methodologies and innovative strategies into my programs, ensuring that our athletes are well-prepared to compete at the highest levels.
Commitment to Academic & Athletic Excellence
As an athletic director, I am committed to fostering an environment that prioritizes both academic and athletic success. I understand the importance of balancing sports with education and strive to create opportunities for student-athletes to excel in both arenas. My vision is to empower players to become leaders in their respective fields, equipped with the skills and values that will serve them well beyond their time with us.
